This is exactly why I enjoy seeing new work. There are compositional rules and guidelines and this is the perfect example of an image where the rules are broken, but the final image works. The visula flow goes beyond the frame and it stops at the hand which is held out flat. From there, the focus goes straight to the eyes which stop you in your tracks. I like this shot, a lot.
